M113 FSV 134713 'Argus' ARMY Bandiana 2014

Full designation Carrier, Fire Support, Full Track M113A1 (FS) Saladin Turret. This was an Australian development of the M113 APC (Armoured Personal Carrier). A number of Australian M113s were converted to take the turret from the retired Saladin armoured cars. These mounted a powerful 76mm gun capable of firing most kinds of rounds. These were designated M113 FSV (Fire Support Vehicle) and were designed to provide direct fire support to ground troops. Eight of the vehicles were sent to Vietnam in support of Australian troops.
